Role Overview

The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, financial controls, procurement accounting, vendor management, statutory compliance, reporting, and audit support. The role ensures accurate financial records, transparent transactions, timely closures, and coordination with internal teams to support smooth business operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Accounting & Bookkeeping




- Maintain accurate books of accounts as per company policies and statutory standards.
- Handle daily accounting entries including AP, AR, bank, cash, and journal postings.
- Perform bank, vendor, and ledger reconciliations regularly.
- Ensure invoices, vouchers, and expense statements are properly verified and posted.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Monitor accuracy of financial data and ensure audit-ready documentation.

2. Procurement & Purchase Accounting Support
- Validate purchase orders, variations, and supporting documents.
- Coordinate with procurement teams for vendor quotations and price comparisons.
- Ensure procurement activities align with budgets, quality, and timelines.
- Maintain purchase records, agreements, rate contracts, and cost data.
- Track material delivery confirmations and documentation (PO, GRN, invoices).
