- Plan, organize, and supervise daily EHS and ETP operations during the shift.
- Allocate work, guide, and monitor operators/trainees to achieve shift targets.
- Ensure protected and efficient operation of the Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) and waste management systems.
- Monitor ETP performance through sampling, analysis, and laboratory testing; maintain calibration and testing records.
- Ensure compliance with EHS policies, statutory requirements (Factories Act, Environment Protection Act, PESO, SPCB, Hazardous Waste Rules, etc.).
- Maintain EHS, laboratory, waste disposal, and statutory records, logbooks, SOPs, and reports (daily/monthly/MIS).
- Coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance of ETP equipment with the Engineering Department.
- Monitor influent quality, optimize ETP performance, and coordinate with Production to control pollutant load.
- Manage procurement and inventory of ETP chemicals, reagents, and consumables.
- Ensure proper disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste as per regulatory requirements.
- Conduct safety inspections, identify unsafe acts/conditions, issue work permits, and ensure corrective actions.
- Coordinate environmental monitoring, pest control, employee health check-ups, audits, and regulatory compliance activities.
- Conduct EHS training, maintain training records, and support onboarding, documentation, ESG, PSCI, GMP, EQMS/LMS/DMS, and other compliance initiatives.
- Maintain discipline, ensure smooth departmental functioning, and promote a safe workplace culture.
