Role & responsibilities
- Code Creation: Write G-code and M-code programs manually or using CAM software.
- Blueprint Analysis: Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T; specifications accurately.
- Machine Setup: Select proper cutting tools, fixtures, work holding, and establish part datums.
- Process Optimization: Determine optimal cutting speeds, feed rates, and cycle times for production.
- First-Part Inspection: Validate the first manufactured piece using precision measuring instruments.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose programming errors, tool wear, and machine malfunctions on the floor.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed setup sheets, tool lists, and program revision records.
Preferred candidate profile
Experience of minimum 2-3 years in VMC Programming (Fanuc or Siemens Controller). Additional CNC Turning Programming experience will be beneficial.
