Role Description
This is a part-time Marathi Translation (Modi Lipi) role based in the Greater Delhi Area with a hybrid work arrangement, allowing a mix of on-site and work-from-home tasks. The translator will review and translate historical and contemporary Marathi documents written in Modi Lipi into clear, accurate target-language versions while preserving context, tone, and intent.



Day-to-day responsibilities include reading and interpreting handwritten and scanned documents, verifying terminology, ensuring consistency and quality, and collaborating with the product and engineering teams to improve AI translation outputs. The role also involves preparing concise written summaries where needed, flagging ambiguous or low-quality source material, and maintaining detailed records of terminology and style preferences. The translator will be expected to meet agreed turnaround times and follow Lekhak’s quality and confidentiality standards.

Qualifications
- Strong skills in Translation and Terminology, with demonstrated ability to work specifically with Marathi (Modi Lipi) documents.
- Excellent Writing and Communication skills for producing clear, accurate translations and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Spanish Translation skills are a plus for multilingual projects and cross-language document workflows.
