Role Description

The Executive Director – NGO / Foundation will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for the foundation activities associated with Esse India, ensuring alignment with the organization’s mission and values.
This full-time in office role, based in Abroad
, involves developing and implementing programs that support community outreach, education, and advocacy related to immigration and social impact initiatives. The Executive Director will oversee budgeting, fundraising, donor and stakeholder relations, and compliance with relevant legal and regulatory frameworks. Daily responsibilities include guiding program teams, setting performance goals, monitoring impact metrics, and preparing reports for boards or advisory committees. The role also requires building partnerships with NGOs, governmental bodies, and community organizations, as well as representing the foundation at events, seminars, and public engagements.

Qualifications
- Proven leadership and management experience in NGOs, foundations, or social impact organizations,



with the ability to oversee teams, programs, and budgets.
- Robust strategic planning, program development, and project management skills to design and implement effective initiatives.
- Experience in fundraising, donor management, and stakeholder engagement, including grant writing and partnership development.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse communities and professional stakeholders.
- Knowledge of immigration-related issues, social welfare, or community development sectors is highly advantageous.
- Ability to work on-site in Chennai, make data-informed decisions, and maintain high ethical and professional standards.
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Public Administration, Nonprofit Management, Development Studies, or a related field preferred.
