Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Mechanic role based in Buxar. The Mechanic will inspect, maintain, and repair heavy equipment and machinery used in construction and infrastructure projects. Daily tasks include performing routine and preventive maintenance, diagnosing mechanical and hydraulic issues, and carrying out corrective repairs to minimize downtime. The role involves conducting troubleshooting on equipment failures, documenting work performed, and coordinating with site supervisors and operators to plan maintenance activities.
The Mechanic is expected to follow safety protocols, keep tools and work areas organized, and ensure equipment operates in compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair for construction and infrastructure equipment.
- Experience with Preventive Maintenance practices to reduce breakdowns and extend equipment life.
- Hands-on expertise working with Heavy Equipment such as excavators, loaders, and other site machinery.
- Ability in Troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, and basic electrical issues on equipment.
- Relevant technical qualification or vocational training in mechanical or automotive trades.
- Previous experience as a Mechanic in construction, mining, or industrial environments preferred.
- Knowledge of safety standards, use of appropriate tools, and adherence to maintenance procedures.
