Role Description
The Mechanical Design Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Bengaluru Area. This role is responsible for leading the mechanical design of modular switchboard enclosures, including concept development, detailed design, and design validation. The manager will oversee a design team, allocate tasks, review drawings and 3D models, and ensure that designs meet safety, performance, manufacturability, and cost requirements.



Daily activities include collaborating with production, procurement, and quality teams, resolving design issues, improving existing products, and supporting current product development initiatives. The role also involves maintaining design standards, managing documentation and CAD libraries, coordinating with suppliers and customers on technical matters, and driving continuous improvement in design processes and workflows.

Qualifications
- Strong mechanical design expertise, including experience with sheet metal, enclosure design, and structural analysis.
- Proficiency in CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar) and familiarity with PDM/PLM systems for design data management.
- Knowledge of electrical switchboard and panel-building practices, industry standards, and relevant safety regulations.
- Experience in design for manufacturability and assembly, and collaboration with production and supplier teams.
