Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Librarian to manage the school library and lead initiatives that promote a strong reading culture within the school. The Librarian will be responsible not only for library operations but also for planning and conducting literary events and author engagement programmes.

Key Responsibilities:
- Organise, catalogue, and maintain library books and learning resources
- Assist students in selecting age-appropriate and level-appropriate reading materials
- Support teachers with reference materials and classroom reading needs
- Conduct library periods and promote independent reading habits
- Plan and conduct literary events such as book talks, reading sessions, and literary festivals
- Coordinate author visits, virtual interactions, and workshops for students




- Collaborate with teachers to run book clubs and school-wide reading initiatives
- Maintain records of book issue, returns, and inventory
- Ensure discipline and proper use of library facilities

Qualifications and Skills:
- Degree or diploma in Library Science or a related field
- Experience as a school librarian preferred
- Ability to plan and manage literary and reading-based events
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Basic computer skills for maintaining library records

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
