Job Summary
The Quality Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality management systems across the Steel Melting Shop (SMS) and Rolling Mill. The role ensures compliance with customer specifications, BIS/IS standards, and internal quality requirements while driving continuous process improvements, reducing quality defects, and enhancing customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement QA/QC systems for SMS and Rolling Mill operations.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, BIS, and customer quality standards.
- Monitor raw material, billet, and finished product quality.
- Supervise chemical, mechanical, and metallurgical testing.
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and CAPA implementation.
- Drive Lean, Kaizen, and Six Sigma initiatives.
- Handle customer complaints and quality audits.




- Maintain quality documentation, SOPs, and inspection records.
- Lead QA/QC engineers, inspectors, and laboratory staff.
- Ensure compliance with statutory, environmental, and safety regulations.

Qualifications
- B.E./B.Tech in Metallurgical, Mechanical, or Materials Engineering.
- Master's degree is an added advantage.

Experience
- 8 to 15 years in integrated steel manufacturing.
- Minimum 4 years in a Quality Manager role.
- Experience in both SMS and Rolling Mill is mandatory.
