Role of Homologation Engineer – Validation & Homologation:

The Homologation Engineer owns the certification and type-approval activities for assigned EV programs.
The role is responsible for identifying applicable regulations, building and maintaining the homologation plan, preparing compliant technical documentation, and coordinating regulatory tests with internal teams, certifying agencies and external test houses.
This includes tracking regulatory changes, ensuring test readiness, reviewing test evidence for completeness and defensibility, and driving closure of agency queries through to certificate issue.
Working knowledge of powertrain performance testing is an asset, allowing the engineer to assess test data quality and correlate regulatory outcomes with expected product performance.

Responsibility – Homologation Engineer – Validation & Homologation:
Homologation Planning & Regulatory Strategy:
Identify applicable homologation and type-approval requirements (AIS/CMVR and relevant standards) for assigned EV powertrain and vehicle programs.




Build and maintain the homologation plan and timeline for each program, aligning it with design maturity, program milestones and launch targets.
Track regulatory changes and amendments, assess their impact on ongoing programs, and update plans and requirements accordingly.
Define the scope of regulatory tests and the sequence in which they must be executed to achieve certification on time.

Documentation & Technical Submissions:
Prepare, review and manage homologation documentation — technical write-ups, test requests, submission packages and compliance dossiers.
Ensure documentation is accurate, complete, traceable and consistent with design data and test evidence.
Maintain version control and audit-ready records of all submissions, certificates and correspondence.

Regulatory Test Coordination:
Coordinate regulatory and certification tests with internal validation teams, certifying agencies and exter
