Job Summar
yThe Mortgage Underwriter is responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and validating loan applications to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with investor, secondary market, and government agency guidelines. The role involves detailed credit analysis, income calculation, risk assessment, and adherence to regulatory and organizational policies to support sound lending decisions

esReview loan files for completeness, accuracy, and adherence to established underwriting guideline
s.Verify loan application information against all supporting documents within the loan fil
e.Analyze credit documentation including mortgage applications, credit reports, income and asset documents, title reports, appraisals, and all applicable compliance disclosure
s.Ensure loan applications meet investor and secondary market requirements, including Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and applicable government agency guideline
s.Perform accurate income calculations in line with underwriting and program standard




s.Evaluate loan-to-value (LTV) and combined loan-to-value (CLTV) ratio
s.Review borrower and property eligibility based on program, risk, and regulatory requirement
s.Assess debt-to-income ratios, credit scores, property valuations, and overall creditworthines
s.Identify potential risk factors, fraud indicators, and misrepresentation within loan documentatio
n.Condition loan files by requesting missing, incomplete, or additional supporting documentatio
n.Participate in testing system updates, enhancements, and process changes as require
d.Complete all mandatory trainings, certifications, and assessments within defined timeline
s.Ensure secure and confidential handling of sensitive customer and financial dat
a.Comply with all company policies, procedures, quality standards, and regulatory requirement
