As a Senior Electronics Design Engineer, you will own and drive the board architecture for our interconnect products - from power-conversion, metering, and control architecture through verification and production. This is an ownership role, not a pure execution one: you will set technical direction, make the architecture and component-selection decisions, and partner closely with firmware, mechanical, manufacturing, and test engineering to bring robust, cost-effective products to market.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Own and drive the board architecture - partitioning, interface definition, component selection, and power architecture
Design analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits: AC-DC power supplies, DC-DC converters, power management, signal conditioning, sensor interfaces, communications, and embedded control systems.
Design and validate AC voltage, current, and power measurement circuits, including revenue-grade metering, with attention to accuracy, calibration, and applicable standards.
Design high-power relay and relay-drive circuits for load switching,



including coil drive, snubbing, contact protection, and coordination with embedded control.
Perform schematic capture, component selection, simulation, PCB design reviews, and hardware debugging.
Balance design tradeoffs across performance, cost, reliability, manufacturability, and schedule.
Apply functional safety and safety-critical design principles throughout, including DFMEA and compliance with standards such as UL 991.
Drive Design for Excellence (DFx) - Manufacturability, test, reliability, and cost.
Develop and execute verification and validation plans spanning bench, environmental, and system-integration testing.
Support current product introduction (NPI) through pilot builds, design verification, and production launch.
Support manufacturing and production at scale - resolving production issues and root-causing hardware failures across development, validation, manufacturing, and the field.
