Job Title: Software Development Engineer (SDE 2)

We are looking for a proactive and hands-on Software Development Engineer (SDE-2)

to join our team. You’ll be responsible for building, maintaining, and scaling robust data

pipelines, enabling analytics and decision-making across the organization. You will also be

the go-to person for enabling Metabase dashboards and visualizations across teams, while

owning the tech roadmap for our data infrastructure.

This is a high-ownership, IC role — ideal for someone with a strong technical

foundation in data engineering and a bias for action in startup environments.

Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Java (Spring Boot), with

a strong focus on reliability, performance, and clean APIs.

Own end-to-end development of features—from technical design and implementation

to testing, deployment, and production support.

Contribute to system design discussions, design reviews, and incremental

architecture improvements.

Integrate backend services with databases, external APIs, payment systems,



and

third-party platforms in a secure and resilient manner.

Apply automation and tooling to improve developer productivity, operational

efficiency, and system observability.

Ensure services meet fintech-grade standards for security, data protection, and

regulatory compliance.

Debug and resolve production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement

long-term fixes.

Work closely with product managers, frontend engineers, and QA to deliver high

quality features in a fast-paced startup setting.

Requirements

3–6 years of strong hands-on experience building backend systems using Java

(Spring Boot) in production environments.

Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, database design (SQL/NoSQL), and backend

integration patterns.

Experience working in cloud-native environments (AWS or GCP), with hands-on

exposure to Docker;
