Verizon Global Infrastructure (VGI) is seeking a highly motivated Cybersecurity Engineer to lead the charge in redefining our network defense posture. This is a high-impact role within the GTS ecosystem, focused on maturing our security standards through the integration of Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW) and the strategic transition toward a Zero Trust framework.



This role will be aligned to our perimeter security team and will support the security transformation of our Net2Net VPN architecture and Cisco NGFW ecosystem (ASA/Firepower). Your responsibilities will include moving beyond straightforward connectivity by engineering a hardened, policy-driven infrastructure that enforces granular access control across corporate offices, data centers, and third-party partner networks.

What you’ll be doing...
- Supporting daily operations, including internal/external stakeholder engagement and dotted-line leadership.
- Maintaining enterprise-level security policies and rulesets using Cisco Firepower Management Center (FMC) and Adaptive Security Device Manager (ASDM).
- Supporting the configuration, and deployment of secure and scalable Site-to-Site IPsec VPNs on Cisco ASA and Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) platforms
