In this role you will own the end-to-end CFD modeling strategy for complex
mechanical systems — from internal data hall thermal analysis to campus-wide
external wind and contaminant dispersion studies. You will define methodologies
and standards that scale globally, lead the development of creative cooling
solutions, and serve as the technical authority for thermal performance across
the organization. As the subject matter expert, you will be an integral part of
our work to change the world through technology.

Key job responsibilities
CFD Modeling & Technical Leadership

● Defining the CFD modeling approach for innovative data center designs;




developing validation methodologies and establishing best practices for the
broader engineering team
● Leading internal CFD studies for data halls and electrical rooms, including
steady-state thermal analysis under N unit failure scenarios and N+1 operational
conditions at full load
● Performing transient thermal studies to assess IT equipment survivability
during concurrent power failure and unit failure events, including
time-to-recovery analysis post power restoration
● Owning external CFD studies encompassing full campus mechanical and electrical
plant, including adjacent industrial complexes and site obstructions, and
leading thermal plume recirculation analysis to understand heat dissipating
equipment impact on building and equipment intake temperatures
● Performing air emissions and contaminant dispersion modeling to quantify
generator exhaust ingestion into building intakes
● Proposing and validating mitigation strategies where results indicate
