We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to lead technical execution on a major legacy-to-Databricks migration program. In this role, you will architect migration frameworks, modernize complex database logic, optimize PySpark workflows, and mentor a team of engineers to ensure delivery quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead technical migration efforts of legacy databases and ETL platforms to modern cloud-hosted Data-bricks environments.
Analyze highly complex T-SQL scripts, multi-level stored procedures, and business logic for optimization and modernization.
Design and build modular, reusable migration frameworks, coding standards, and accelerators.
Convert legacy structures into scalable PySpark, Spark SQL, and Delta Lake implementations.
Review code, mentor junior developers, and enforce data engineering best practices.
Optimize Data bricks workloads, cluster configurations, and Spark jobs for performance and cost efficiency.
Partner with architects,



business stakeholders, and delivery leads to coordinate migration strategy.

Requirements
Strong hands-on experience with Databricks and PySpark
Advanced expertise in SQL / T-SQL, including stored procedures, functions, views, and complex
transformations
Strong background in ETL/ELT, Data Warehousing, and legacy data migration
Experience migrating SQL Server, Oracle, or traditional ETL platforms to Databricks
Expertise in Delta Lake, Spark SQL, and scalable data processing
Strong understanding of Data Modeling, dimensional modeling, and batch processing
Experience optimizing Spark jobs, Databricks notebooks, and ETL pipelines
Robust debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning skills
Experience reviewing code, mentoring engineers, and driving technical best practices
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
