Reports To: Maintenance In-Charge
Job Purpose
Perform installation, inspection, preventive maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and uninterrupted operation of the aluminium extrusion plant.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance of electrical equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical faults in extrusion presses, motors, control panels, PLCs, VFDs, and utility equipment.
- Inspect and maintain electrical panels, wiring, switches, sensors, and safety devices.
- Monitor and maintain power distribution systems and ensure secure electrical operations.
- Assist in installation and commissioning of new electrical equipment.
- Maintain maintenance records and report recurring electrical issues.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, LOTO procedures, and 5S practices.
- Coordinate with Production and Mechanical Maintenance teams to minimize downtime.
Qualification
ITI (Electrician) / Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
Experience
57 years in industrial electrical maintenance, preferably in the aluminium extrusion or manufacturing industry.
