SECTION II: PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
To execute all safety related policies at the Site, with the objective to identify, resolve/ mitigate or escalate key risks as per overall safety policies, regulations & standards
SECTION III: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE ROLE
Responsibilities
Policies, Processes and Procedures
- Follow established safety policies, processes, standard operating procedures and provide support in the interpretation and implementation of safety related policies to the line management
- Assist in the implementation of current initiatives/ projects as per the established policies to meet the future requirements of the site
- Participate in the first and third-party health and safety audit systems for their designated area/ plant,
in collaboration with Lead Safety
- Participate in external industry bodies, trade association, global forums and keep self abreast with leading practices and trends in order to contribute towards continuous improvement of systems, processes and procedures
Operations
- Conduct and analyse safety observations at their designated area/ plant and suggest actions to modify behaviours
- Maintain log book, occurrence book and other shift related documentation to ensure adherence to safety compliances
- Carryout investigation of all safety related incidents at their designated area/ plant, conduct root cause analysis and identify action plans to avert such future incidents
- Participate in risk management programs such as control measures identification, incident investigation, etc. to manage key risks at their designated area/ plant
- Create MIS reports, safety updates, findings, and performance indices to the area/ plant management so
