Job Overview

The Tool Die Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and continuously improving production tools, dies, and jigs to ensure stable manufacturing operations. The role also involves managing tooling documentation, supporting equipment maintenance activities, and collaborating with production teams to improve productivity, quality, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of production tools, dies, and jigs.

Troubleshoot tooling issues both online (during production) and offline to minimize downtime.

Maintain and manage tooling-related documentation, including check sheets, logbooks, and history cards.

Read and interpret 2D/3D drawings and hand sketches for maintenance activities.

Support maintenance activities involving CNC bending machines, press machines, lathes, milling machines, and surface grinding machines.

Select appropriate tools and measuring equipment for maintenance work.

Maintain maintenance records and tooling data in the ERP system.

Coordinate with Production,



Tool Room, and Maintenance teams to improve tooling performance and manufacturing efficiency.

Participate in continuous improvement activities such as Kaizen and 5S.

Mandatory Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

3 5 years of experience in Tool Die Maintenance or a similar role in a manufacturing environment.

Strong knowledge of tools, dies, and jigs.

Experience with tooling documentation such as check sheets, logbooks, and history cards.

Knowledge of 2D and 3D drawings, including hand sketch preparation.

Knowledge of lathe machining, milling machines, and surface grinding machines.

Proficiency in AutoCAD.

Positive working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Experience using ERP systems.

Ability to perform online and offline troubleshooting of tools and jigs.
