Senior Software Engineer
with deep expertise in
VB6, VB.NET/.NET Framework, MySQL, and Windows Desktop Applications
to join our engineering team.
In this role, you'll work on a large-scale, mission-critical enterprise platform used by the automotive industry, helping maintain, enhance, and optimize a mature application while driving stability, reliability, and long-term scalability.
What You'll Do
- Provide production support by troubleshooting and resolving application issues.
- Investigate customer-reported bugs and implement effective solutions.
- Develop maintenance enhancements for an existing Windows desktop application.
- Optimize MySQL databases, queries, and stored procedures.
- Maintain and enhance WCF Web Services and shared .NET libraries.
- Work with a legacy VB6 codebase while ensuring backward compatibility.
- Participate in code reviews,
GitHub pull requests, and follow best development practices.
- Support release management and deployment activities.
- Create and maintain technical documentation to facilitate knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, QA, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software.
What We're Looking ForRequired Skills
- 7–12 years of software development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with
VB6
.
- Experience with
VB.NET / .NET Framework

- Experience developing and maintaining
Windows Desktop Applications

- Solid knowledge of
MySQL
, including schema design, query optimization, and stored procedures.
- Experience with
WCF Web Services

- Proficiency with
Git/GitHub
, pull requests, branching strategies, and code reviews.
- Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience working with large, legacy enterprise applications.
- Understanding of software
