Role & responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced General Manager Civil Design with extensive expertise in Nuclear Power Plant Projects. The candidate will lead the civil and structural engineering design function, ensuring compliance with nuclear safety regulations, international design standards, quality requirements, and project schedules. The role involves managing multidisciplinary design teams, coordinating with clients, consultants, regulatory authorities, and EPC teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead complete civil and structural design activities for Nuclear Power Plant projects.
- Review and approve engineering deliverables, drawings, calculations, specifications, and technical reports.
- Ensure compliance with nuclear safety requirements, regulatory codes, and international standards.
- Coordinate with Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Process, and Architecture teams.
- Manage engineering consultants and external design agencies.
- Review structural analysis, seismic analysis, foundation design, reinforced concrete and steel structures.




- Ensure constructability, cost optimization, and value engineering during design.
- Participate in design reviews, HAZOP, constructability reviews, and safety assessments.
- Coordinate with clients, regulatory authorities, and statutory agencies.
- Monitor engineering schedules, manpower planning, budgets, and deliverables.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to engineering teams.
- Support procurement, construction, commissioning, and site engineering activities.
- Resolve complex engineering and technical issues during project execution.
- Ensure quality management systems and document control procedures are followed.
