Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field.
- 6-12 years of experience in API management, integration engineering, or middleware development.
- Proven hands-on experience with CA/Broadcom Layer 7 API Gateway — policy creation, custom assertions, and gateway administration.
- Practical working knowledge of IBM API Connect — API definition (OpenAPI/Swagger), gateway policies, DataPower, and analytics.
- Solid command of REST and SOAP API design principles and web service protocols (HTTP/S, WSDL, XML, JSON).
- Experience with API security standards: OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, API keys, JWT, mTLS.
- Proficiency in scripting for test automation (e.g., Postman/Newman, Karate, JMeter, or equivalent).

Preferred Qualifications




- IBM API Connect developer or administrator certification.
- Experience with DataPower Gateway configuration and GatewayScript / XSLT policy development.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitLab for API deployment.
- Exposure to API observability tools (ELK stack, Splunk, Dynatrace, or IBM API Analytics).
- Understanding of Kubernetes/containerised gateway deployments (APIC on OpenShift/IKS).
