Role: AppDynamics Engineer

Location: Delhi & Hyderabad

Contract

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain the AppDynamics Controller, Agents, and Event Service.

• Deploy and manage Java, .NET, Node.js, PHP, Machine Agents, Database Agents, and Analytics Agents.

• Configure Business Transactions, Health Rules, Policies, Actions, Dashboards, and Reports.

• Monitor application performance, identify bottlenecks, and recommend optimization strategies.

• Troubleshoot performance issues across application, middleware, database, and infrastructure layers.

• Integrate AppDynamics with ITSM, CI/CD, and observability tools such as ServiceNow, Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana, Jenkins, or PagerDuty where applicable.

• Configure alerting, anomaly detection, and automated remediation workflows.

• Develop custom dashboards and reports for various business and technical stakeholders.

• Support cloud and containerized environments including Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, Azure, and GCP.

• Perform capacity planning, health checks, and platform performance tuning.





• Ensure platform security, access management, and compliance with organizational standards.

• Document implementation, operational procedures, and best practices.

• Provide L2/L3 support and participate in on-call rotations when required.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco AppDynamics.

• Expertise in Application Performance Monitoring (APM) concepts.

• Experience installing and configuring AppDynamics Controllers and Agents.

• Knowledge of Java, .NET, Node.js, or other application technologies.

• Understanding of WebLogic, WebSphere, Tomcat, JBoss, IIS, or similar application servers.

• Robust understanding of Linux and Windows administration.

• Experience with SQL and database performance monitoring.

• Familiarity with REST APIs and scripting using Shell, Python, or PowerShell.

• Knowledge of networking fundamentals including HTTP, HTTPS, TCP/IP, DNS, and SSL/TLS.
