Role & responsibilities

Utility Operations
- Operate and monitor all utility equipment to ensure continuous plant operations.
- Maintain refrigeration systems, ammonia/Freon chillers, cold rooms, and HVAC systems.
- Operate and maintain air compressors, air dryers, and compressed air distribution systems.
- Monitor boiler operations, steam distribution, and condensate recovery systems.
- Operate DG sets, electrical panels, and power backup systems.
- Monitor water treatment plant (WTP), RO plant, softener plant, and ETP/STP operations.

Preventive & Breakdown Maintenance
- Perform preventive maintenance as per maintenance schedules.
- Attend utility equipment breakdowns and restore operations within defined timelines.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and pneumatic faults.
- Replace defective parts and maintain critical spare inventory.
- Maintain maintenance history and service records.

Monitoring & Documentation
- Record utility consumption such as electricity, water, diesel, steam, compressed air, and refrigeration parameters.




- Maintain daily utility log sheets and shift reports.
- Monitor equipment efficiency and report abnormalities.
- Support energy-saving and cost-reduction initiatives.

Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, FSSAI, ISO 22000, and company SOPs.
- Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures during maintenance.
- Adhere to safety guidelines while handling ammonia, refrigerants, steam, and electrical systems.
- Participate in safety audits and statutory inspections.

Continuous Improvement
- Support TPM, Kaizen, and 5S initiatives.
- Recommend improvements for utility efficiency and reliability.
- Coordinate with production and engineering teams for planned shutdowns and maintenance.
