Role & responsibilities
- Review architectural blueprints and shop drawings to perform accurate material take-offs and quantity estimations.
- Prepare detailed take-offs specifically for countertops, including measurements, material quantities, and cut lists.
- Create and interpret 2D CAD drawings for shop/fabrication purposes.
- Verify dimensions and specifications against architectural plans to ensure accuracy before production.
- Coordinate with project managers, fabricators, and installers to resolve discrepancies in drawings or measurements.
- Maintain organized records of take-offs, estimates, and drawing revisions for each project.
- Identify and flag potential material waste or cost-saving opportunities during the estimation process.

Preferred candidate profile




- Proven experience in construction/fabrication take-offs, preferably in countertops, cabinetry, or stone/solid surface industries.
- Strong proficiency in 2D CAD software (AutoCAD or equivalent).
- Solid understanding of reading and interpreting architectural blueprints and shop drawings.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and math skills for accurate material estimation.
- Positive communication skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams.
- Prior experience in the countertop/stone fabrication industry is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
