**? We're Hiring: Embedded Software Engineer – Linux Kernel | Bootloader | RDK**

? Location: Bangalore, India | Full-Time

We're looking for an experienced Embedded Linux Engineer to join our team working on next-gen broadband/media devices (CPE, gateways, set-top boxes). If you love working close to the metal — kernel, bootloader, and the RDK stack — this one's for you.

**? Key Responsibilities**

• Develop, port, and debug bootloaders (U-Boot) for embedded SoC platforms

• Work on Linux kernel: device drivers, BSP customization, kernel configuration, and upstreaming

• Build and maintain RDK-B / RDK-V stack integration for broadband and video devices

• Debug boot-time issues, kernel panics, and driver-level failures using JTAG/GDB/serial console

• Collaborate with SoC vendors and chipset partners on platform bring-up

• Work with Yocto/Buildroot to build and maintain custom Linux images

• Participate in code reviews, root-causing field issues, and performance optimization

**✅ Required Skills**

• Strong programming skills in C/C++





• Hands-on experience with Linux kernel internals and device driver development

• Bootloader development experience (U-Boot preferred)

• Working knowledge of the RDK (Reference Design Kit) framework — RDK-B and/or RDK-V

• Experience with ARM-based embedded platforms

• Familiarity with Yocto or Buildroot build systems

• Comfortable with Git, cross-compilation toolchains, and hardware debugging tools

**? Good to Have**

• Experience in broadband CPE, set-top box, or gateway product development

• Exposure to open-source contributions (kernel, U-Boot, RDK community)

• Knowledge of networking protocols (DHCP, WiFi drivers, Ethernet)

• Prior experience with SoC vendors like Broadcom, Qualcomm, or MediaTek
