Legal Land Research Scholar

The Centre for Applied Geomatics (CAG) at CEPT Research and Development Foundation (CRDF), CEPT University, is inviting applications for the position of Legal Land Research Scholar.

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented professional with a strong interest in land governance, legal frameworks, and policy research. The selected candidate will contribute to meaningful research that supports land-related policy, governance systems, and practice-based interventions.

Key Responsibilities

The Legal Land Research Scholar will be responsible for:
- Conducting in-depth legal research on land policies, laws, regulations, and governance frameworks.
- Reviewing and analysing legal and policy documents related to land administration and land governance.
- Preparing comprehensive research notes, reports, briefs, and documentation.
- Supporting the team in interpreting land-related legal frameworks and their implications for projects.
- Assisting in data collection, documentation,



and analysis for ongoing research assignments.
- Coordinating with project teams, government stakeholders, and relevant institutions as required.
- Contributing to research outputs that strengthen the interface between policy and practice.

Key Requirements
- Experience: 3 5 years of relevant experience in legal research, land governance, land-related matters, or policy research.
- Research Background: Demonstrated experience in legal research, preferably in projects related to land governance, urban development, planning, or public policy.
- Educational Background: A degree in law, public policy, urban planning, land governance, or a related field would be preferred.
- Language Proficiency: Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Gujarati.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office, data management, online research tools, and documentation.
