Department: Clinical & Recovery Services

Reports To: Clinical Head of Psychological Services

Key Responsibilities

Conduct daily AA and 12-Step meetings for patients.

Introduce patients to the principles of the 12-Step recovery program.

Share personal recovery experiences appropriately to inspire and motivate patients.

Provide one-on-one motivational support to patients struggling with acceptance, denial, cravings, or resistance to treatment.

Encourage active participation in therapeutic activities and the overall treatment program.

Facilitate group discussions, reflection sessions, and recovery circles.

Educate families about addiction as a disease and the importance of ongoing recovery.

Participate in family sessions alongside the clinical team when required.

Encourage family involvement in long-term recovery planning.

Qualifications





Certified Addiction Counsellor or relevant recovery certification is desirable.

Strong understanding of the 12-Step philosophy and addiction recovery.

Minimum 3-5 years of experience working in a rehabilitation or de-addiction center

Essential Requirements

Minimum 5 -7 years of continuous personal sobriety (preferred)

Active involvement in Alcoholics Anonymous or other recognized recovery fellowships.

Robust communication and group facilitation skills.

Ability to motivate individuals from diverse backgrounds.

High emotional maturity, empathy, integrity, and professionalism.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriate professional boundaries.
