Job Purpose
Plan, organise and ensure engineering & reliability of BESS with focus on scaling up the system to GW power keeping in view approved budgets and cost optimisation measures.

Job Accountabilities
Accountable for engineering & reliability of energy storage systems and detailed design review with DEC.

Accountable for engineering of BESS systems integration with Grid as per industry benchmark / international standards

Accountable for selection of appropriate Battery and Power Converters for integration as BESS system package.

Accountable for commissioning and testing of Battery Energy Storage System along with Power Converters in co-ordination with DEC, OEM & user teams.

Accountable for Periodic review of Performance monitoring & benchmarking as per international standards.

Accountable for ensuring continuous improvement in design and modification by means of active interaction with stakeholders, optimizing engineering practices

Accountable for Overseeing Statutory and Regulatory compliance at engineering stage.



Accountable for Preparation and review of engineering specification document for energy storage systems.

Liaise with OEMs / packagers / consultants to be abreast of latest trends in technology, design etc. Support for procurement / services scope finalization, vendor selection, validation for BESS.

Improve reliability through Continuous Improvement techniques/ up-gradation/ Projects / implementation of advance diagnostic and online condition monitoring techniques

Standardization of best maintenance practices related to energy storage systems

Identify training needs and facilitate for learning, skill development of Engineers at sites in energy storage system.

Prioritize and set milestones for the team. Coordinate with technology vertical heads for commercializing current schemes/processes

Evaluation of Repairs & refurbishment facilities for energy storage system.

Represent Organisation in various industrial forums, participate in national lev
