General Description Of Role
The
Tech Engineer – Specialty Platforms
is responsible for the
technical implementation, configuration, integration, and support
of one or more specialized business platforms (e.g., underwriting, pricing, risk, real‑estate, or other domain‑specific systems).
This role combines
hands‑on engineering skills
with strong understanding of
business workflows and data
, working closely with product owners, business analysts, architects,
and other technology teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and well‑integrated solutions.
Job Responsibilities
- Platform Implementation & Configuration
- Implement and configure specialty platformsaccording to solution designs and business requirements.
- Develop and maintain rules, workflows, data models, and integrationswithin the platform.
- Support client / product onboardingand configuration (e.g., programs, policies, rating rules, tax rules, certificates) as needed.

Development & Integration
- Design, develop, and maintain APIs, services, and componentsthat integrate specialty platforms with upstream and downstream systems.
- Write clean, testable code using agreed technologies (e.g., .NET, C#, SQL, REST APIs, messaging).
- Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and technical discussionsto ensure high‑quality solutions.
