What You'll Own
-The matching engine—the core system that pairs every buy and sell order on the exchange.
-Order books, order types, and execution semantics, including market orders, limit orders, time-in-force, and partial fills.
-Real-time market data, including prices, charts, order book depth, and trade feeds.
-Execution systems investors can trust—deterministic, fair, and thoroughly tested.
What We're Looking For
-7+ years preferred (5+ years minimum) of hands-on backend engineering experience in systems where both performance and correctness are critical.
----This is a builder role, not a manager role.
-Strong expertise in TypeScript/Node.js, or a deep systems programming background in Go, Rust, Java, or C++ with the willingness to work in TypeScript.
-Solid understanding of exchange mechanics, including order books, matching rules, price-time priority, and slippage.
-Experience designing concurrent and deterministic systems, including event ordering, sequencing, idempotent replay, and single-writer architectures.
-Experience building real-time data pipelines with streams, pub/sub systems, and backpressure handling.
-Robust testing mindset with simulation and property-based testing of execution logic—not just example-based testing.
-Numerical precision and experience handling financial calculations without floating-point errors.
