Role & responsibilities
- Conduct inspection of MDPE/PE pipeline installation activities for CGD, PNG, and CNG network projects.
- Monitor trenching, excavation, pipe laying, lowering, warning mat installation, backfilling, and surface restoration activities.
- Inspect MDPE fittings and witness electrofusion and butt fusion jointing operations.
- Verify fusion parameters, equipment calibration records, joint traceability, and welding documentation.
- Ensure compliance with approved QAP, ITP, method statements, project specifications, drawings, and client requirements.
- Witness and review pressure testing, leakage testing, and associated test reports as per applicable standards.
- Prepare and maintain inspection reports, quality records, checklists, test reports, punch lists, NCRs, and daily progress reports.
- Monitor contractor quality performance and support corrective and preventive actions.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors,



and project teams for timely quality approvals.
- Ensure adherence to HSE requirements, including excavation safety, permit-to-work systems, PPE compliance, barricading, and emergency response procedures.

Preferred Experience:
- Experience in City Gas Distribution (CGD) projects involving MDPE/PE pipelines.
- Knowledge of PNG/CNG distribution networks and gas pipeline construction practices.
- Familiarity with electrofusion and butt fusion inspection requirements.
- Understanding of QA/QC documentation, testing procedures, and HSE standards applicable to gas pipeline projects.

Preferred candidate profile
- Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Civil, or related Engineering discipline.
- Relevant experience in QA/QC inspection of CGD gas pipeline projects preferred.
