Role Description
The Director role at IIT Mandi is a full-time, on-site position based in Delhi, India. The Director provides strategic leadership, sets the academic and research agenda,



and oversees the development and implementation of institutional policies aligned with the institute’s vision and national priorities. Daily responsibilities include supervising academic programs, promoting research excellence, fostering collaborations with industry and other institutions, and ensuring the effective management of financial, human, and physical resources. The Director represents the institute at national and international forums, nurtures a culture of inclusion, integrity, and innovation, and supports faculty, staff, and learners through transparent and participative governance. The role also involves long-term planning for infrastructure, sustainability initiatives, and continuous improvement in teaching, learning, and outreach activities.
