Job Description
Technician – Robotics / Automation
Role Overview
The Engineering Technician will support the development, integration, and qualification of advanced
electro-mechanical and automation systems, including wafer handling robotics and associated
subsystems used in semiconductor equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support engineering teams in building, modifying, and maintaining customized test setups and lab
infrastructure for system validation.
- Execute testing and qualification activities for electro-mechanical systems and subassemblies.
- Perform hands-on troubleshooting and root cause analysis across mechanical, electrical, and
control systems.
- Assist in assembly, integration, and debugging of prototypes and test rigs for current product
development.
- Identify test setup challenges and propose practical solutions to improve efficiency and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Facilities, Safety, Vendors) to ensure lab
readiness and equipment operability.
- Follow and support safety procedures, interlocks, and lab compliance standards.
Technical Requirements
- Hands-on experience with industrial equipment / automation systems / manufacturing machinery,

- Assembly automation lines,
- CNC or special-purpose machines,
- Packaging or process equipment,
- Testing/inspection systems
- Understanding of electro-mechanical systems, including:
- Motors, actuators, sensors, drives, Basic control systems and wiring
- Experience with sensors and data acquisition
