Key Responsibilities

Purchase Responsibilities
- Procure mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and standard bought-out components.
- Float RFQs, obtain quotations, compare prices, and prepare Comparative Statements (CS).
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
- Issue Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure timely follow-up with vendors.
- Develop and maintain a reliable vendor base.
- Coordinate with Production and Planning teams for material requirements.
- Monitor supplier performance based on quality, cost, and delivery.
- Resolve material shortages and expedite urgent requirements.
- Maintain procurement records and generate purchase MIS reports.

Store Responsibilities
- Receive incoming materials and verify quantity and quality against purchase orders.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in ERP/SAP.
- Issue materials to production as per approved Material Requisition Notes (MRNs).
- Ensure proper storage, identification, and preservation of materials.
- Conduct periodic stock verification and annual physical inventory.




- Monitor minimum, maximum, and reorder stock levels.
- Coordinate with Quality for incoming material inspection.
- Maintain FIFO/FEFO inventory practices wherever applicable.
- Handle scrap, rejected materials, and returnable items.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

Experience
- 25 years of experience in Purchase, Procurement, and Store Management in a manufacturing industry.
- Experience in Machine Tool, Heavy Engineering, Railway Equipment, or Industrial Manufacturing will be preferred.

Required Skills
- Knowledge of procurement processes and vendor management.
- Understanding of inventory control and warehouse operations.
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical components.
- Familiarity with ERP/SAP systems.
