We are looking for an experienced
Senior Safety & Reliability Engineer
to lead system safety, reliability, and certification activities for advanced avionics and aerospace systems. This role is ideal for professionals with deep expertise in safety-critical system development, reliability engineering, and regulatory compliance across the complete product lifecycle.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that avionics hardware and software meet the highest standards of functional safety, reliability, and certification in accordance with global aerospace standards.
Key Responsibilities
System Safety Engineering
- Lead and perform
Functional Hazard Assessments (FHA)
,
Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
,
Fault Tree Analysis (FTA)
, and
Common Cause Analysis (CCA)
in accordance with
ARP4761
.
- Develop, maintain, and manage system safety requirements and safety cases aligned with
ARP4754A
.
- Allocate safety requirements across hardware and software while ensuring end-to-end traceability throughout the development lifecycle.
- Support the derivation and verification of safety-critical requirements.
- Utilize system safety analysis tools such as
ANSYS Medini Analyze
or equivalent platforms for safety and reliability modelling.
Reliability Engineering
- Perform reliability predictions, modelling, and quantitative analyses, including MTBF, failure rates, and system availability.
- Identify potential failure mechanisms and recommend design improvements to enhance product reliability.
- Support Design-for-Reliability (DfR) initiatives throughout product development.
- Ensure compliance with aerospace reliability standards and regulatory expectations.
Certification & Compliance
- Support certification activities with aviation authorities such as
FAA
and
EASA
.
- Prepare Safety Assessment Reports (SAR), compliance matrices, certification evidence, and technical documentation.
- Ensur
