Position : 4G/5G RAN Test & Validation Engineer

Role Summary

We are looking for a skilled 4G/5G RAN Test & Validation Engineer to validate LTE and 5G NR Radio Access Network (RAN) software across Layer 1 (PHY), Layer 2 (MAC/RLC/PDCP), and Layer 3 (RRC/NGAP/XnAP). The role involves planning and executing unit, integration, system, interoperability, and performance testing to ensure high-quality, standards-compliant RAN releases for commercial deployments.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, design, develop, and execute unit, integration, system, regression, and performance test casesfor LTE and 5G NR RAN features.

Validate L1, L2, and L3functionalities, including PHY, MAC, RLC, PDCP, RRC, mobility, scheduling, and signaling procedures.

Perform end-to-end testingof eNodeB (eNB) and gNodeB (gNB) software in laboratory and field environments.

Analyze protocol logs, traces, and KPIs to identify defects, perform root cause analysis, and support issue resolution.





Develop and maintain test automation frameworksto improve test coverage and execution efficiency.

Collaborate with development, system integration, and customer support teams to validate recent features and resolve interoperability issues.

Ensure compliance with 3GPP LTE and 5G NRstandards and product quality requirements.

Required Skills

Strong understanding of LTE and 5G NR PHY, MAC, RLC, PDCP, and RRCprotocols.

Experience in unit, system, integration, regression, and performance testing.

Knowledge of telecom KPIs, throughput, latency, mobility, and call flow validation.

Strong debugging, protocol log analysis, and troubleshooting skills.

Experience with test automationusing Python, Shell scripting, or similar tools.

Good understanding of 3GPP LTE and 5G NRspecifications.

Experience working in a Linuxenvironment.
