We are looking for a quantity surveyor who has to manages all financial and contractual aspects of construction projects. They estimate material and labor costs, prepare tender documents and contracts, monitor budgets, and value completed work to process subcontractor and supplier payments. Their core goal is ensuring projects are financially viable and completed within budget.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Cost Estimation & Planning: Preparing initial budget estimates, conducting feasibility studies, and forecasting costs for labor, materials, and equipment.
- Tendering & Procurement: Preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQs), evaluating contractor bids, and assisting in the award of construction contracts.
- Contract Administration: Analyzing contract terms, managing change orders, and tracking variations in project scope.
- Budget Management: Tracking ongoing expenses, submitting regular financial reports, and implementing cost-saving measures.
- Valuation & Payments:
Assessing the value of completed construction work on-site and authorizing progress payments to contractors.
- Risk & Claims Management: Identifying commercial risks and assisting with dispute resolution or claim preparations.
Required Qualifications and Skills :
- Education: A bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering
- Certifications: Professional accreditation, such as chartered status with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), is highly valued and often required for senior roles.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in construction estimating software (like CostX or Bluebeam), solid blueprint reading, and deep knowledge of building regulations.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional commercial awareness, strong negotiation and dispute resolution abilities, and critical problem-solving skills
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
