We are looking for a passionate and hands-on Mechanical Design & Production Engineer who can support product design, production planning, and quality control activities. The candidate should have a solid understanding of sheet metal fabrication, agricultural machinery, and manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design & Development
- Prepare 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
- Develop manufacturing drawings and assembly drawings.
- Prepare and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Modify and improve existing product designs.
- Support new product development activities.
- Maintain engineering documents and revision records.
2. Production Planning & Execution
- Coordinate with the production team for smooth manufacturing.
- Prepare production plans and daily work schedules.
- Develop process sheets and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Monitor production progress and resolve shop-floor issues.
- Coordinate with purchase and stores for material requirements.
- Support implementation of process improvements and cost reduction initiatives.
3. Quality Management
- Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspections.
- Prepare quality checklists and inspection reports.
- Analyse product failures and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain quality records and documentation.
- Work on rejection reduction and continuous improvement initiatives.
4. Coordination & Reporting
- Coordinate with design, production, purchase, stores, and service departments.
- Submit daily and weekly progress reports to management.
- Assist in setting up systems and processes for future expansion.
