The Design Engineer is responsible for preparing proposal, production, and manufacturing process drawings for indexable cutting tools. The role involves supporting production, ensuring drawing accuracy, improving product quality, coordinating with internal departments, and providing technical support to sales and application teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare proposal drawings based on customer requirements and applications.
- Create detailed production drawings with complete geometry specifications.
- Develop manufacturing process drawings for production.
- Provide technical support to the production team for indexable tool manufacturing.
- Inspect and verify indexable tool designs and drawings.
- Prepare and maintain drawing conversion reports.
- Develop and update work standards, SOPs, and technical documentation.
- Coordinate with production, quality, sales, and application teams to resolve technical issues.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
- Ensure all drawings comply with company standards and customer specifications.
- Maintain design records and revision history.
- Assist in troubleshooting design and manufacturing-related issues.

- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
