Role & responsibilities

1. Inspect incoming materials, in-process products, and finished goods as per inspection plans.

2. Perform visual and dimensional inspections using measuring instruments.

3. Use instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, dial gauges, plug gauges, ring gauges, and thread gauges.

4. Verify product dimensions against engineering drawings and quality specifications.

5. Identify, segregate, and report non-conforming products and materials.

6. Record inspection results and maintain quality documents and inspection reports.

7. Conduct first-piece, in-process, and final inspections during production.

8. Inform the Production Supervisor immediately about quality deviations.

9. Assist in root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.

10. Ensure measuring instruments are handled properly and sent for calibration as scheduled.

Support internal quality audits and 5S activities.

12. Maintain cleanliness and safety in the inspection area.

13. Follow ISO 9001 procedures, work instructions, and company quality policies.

14. Coordinate with Production, Stores, and Planning to resolve quality-related issues.

15. Perform any other quality-related duties assigned by the supervisor.

Preferred candidate profile

Knowledge of precision measuring instruments.

Ability to read basic engineering drawings and dimensional tolerances. Understanding of inspection procedures and quality standards.

Basic knowledge of ISO 9001 and 5S. Familiarity with Microsoft Excel or ERP systems is an advantage.
