Role & responsibilities
- Lead development, sourcing and technical definition of all kind of equipment and manufacturing technologies required for new, expansion and relocated production lines, including Hot Stamping, Laser Cutting, Laser Blanking, Roll Forming, Blanking, Shot Blasting, Automation and Material Handling systems.
- Evaluate key technical points for current equipment and define selection criteria together with Corporate, Purchasing and plant stakeholders.
- Create and update equipment technical standards, specifications and acceptance criteria.
- Coordinate suppliers, facilities and plant teams during design, build, FAT, installation, commissioning and launch phases.
- Promote lessons learnt, troubleshooting and continuous improvement with maintenance, die maintenance, die design, quality and production teams.
- Support equipment launch phase on Gestamp sites and resolve technical issues related to equipment or suppliers.
- Drive equipment relocation projects and support energy efficiency measures launched in Asia.
- Other tasks assigned by head of department.
