Role & responsibilities:

Role Purpose:

The Lead Project Finance (Debt) will be responsible for leading debt financing activities across the company's renewable energy, power, transmission, infrastructure, and emerging energy projects. The role will drive end-to-end debt raising, lender relationship management, financial closure, refinancing, project funding strategy, and compliance with financing covenants to support the organization's growth objectives.

Debt Raising & Financial Closure:
- Lead end-to-end debt financing transactions for greenfield and brownfield projects.
- Develop funding strategies aligned with business growth plans and capital requirements.
- Manage project financial closures within defined timelines.
- Structure and negotiate debt facilities including:
- Term Loans
- Project Finance Facilities
- Construction Finance
- Working Capital Facilities
- Structured Debt Instruments
- External Commercial Borrowings (ECB)
- Evaluate various financing alternatives and recommend optimal capital structures.

Lender & Investor Relationship Management




- Build and maintain relationships with:
- Domestic Banks
- International Banks
- Financial Institutions
- Infrastructure Debt Funds
- NBFCs
- Multilateral Agencies
- Lead interactions with lenders during due diligence and financing discussions.
- Manage consortium lenders and coordinate syndication activities where applicable.

Financial Modelling & Credit Evaluation
- Review and validate project financial models.
- Conduct project viability assessments and debt serviceability analysis.
- Evaluate project risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with lender requirements and financing parameters.

Documentation & Negotiations
- Lead negotiations on term sheets, financing agreements, security documents, and financing covenants.
- Coordinate with legal, technical, insurance, and independent consultants for transaction execution.
