Camus Pharma Pvt. Ltd. operates primarily as a pharmaceutical API merchant exporter and trading company. We source and supply Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients, intermediates, specialty chemicals and chromatography columns to domestic and international customers.
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Purchase Manager to lead the sourcing and procurement of pharmaceutical APIs, intermediates and chromatography columns from domestic and international suppliers. The candidate will be responsible for vendor development, commercial negotiation, cost optimisation, purchase planning and coordination with internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Source APIs, intermediates and chromatography columns from domestic and international suppliers.
- Identify, develop and evaluate reliable pharmaceutical manufacturers and vendors.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules and commercial conditions.
- Develop alternate suppliers to reduce cost and supply risk.
- Maintain an active network of API manufacturers, traders and suppliers.
- Plan purchases according to customer orders,
inventory requirements and shipment schedules.
- Evaluate quotations and conduct cost and commercial comparisons.
- Coordinate with quality, regulatory, logistics, finance and management teams.
- Manage purchase orders, supplier documentation, follow-ups and procurement MIS.
- Review COAs, GMP documents and other vendor-related regulatory documents.
- Lead and guide a purchase team of approximately two to three employees.
Mandatory Requirements
- Minimum five years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong hands-on experience in API and intermediate procurement.
- Established network of API manufacturers and suppliers.
- Strong vendor-development and price-negotiation skills.
- Valuable commercial understanding and cost-analysis ability.
- Familiarity with COAs, GMP and pharmaceutical vendor documentation.
- Good English communication and stakeholder-management skill
