Role Description
This is a full time, on-site Operator role based in Chennai. The Operator will be responsible for safely operating port and cargo-handling equipment, following standard operating procedures, and adhering to all safety and environmental regulations. Daily tasks include monitoring equipment performance, reporting any faults or hazards, supporting loading and unloading operations, and maintaining accurate basic records of activities.



The role involves close coordination with shift supervisors, maintenance teams, and other operations staff to ensure efficient cargo movement and minimal downtime. The Operator will also participate in regular safety briefings and training sessions to maintain compliance with company and regulatory standards.

Qualifications
- Practical experience in operating port, terminal, or industrial equipment (e.g., cranes, loaders, forklifts, or similar machinery).
- Strong understanding of safety practices, hazard identification, and adherence to operational and environmental guidelines.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for identifying equipment issues and coordinating with maintenance teams.
- Ability to follow instructions, work in shifts, and collaborate effectively with supervisors and coworkers.
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in mechanical, electrical, or log
