The Purchase Executive is responsible for sourcing and procuring materials, components, equipment, and services required for business operations. The role ensures timely procurement at competitive prices while maintaining quality standards and building strong supplier relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and procure raw materials, consumables, components, and services as per business requirements.
- Obtain quotations from vendors and compare prices, quality, and delivery schedules.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery timelines with suppliers.
- Create and process Purchase Orders (POs) in the google Sheet system.
- Follow up with vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Coordinate with Production, Stores, Quality, and Finance departments for procurement activities.
- Monitor inventory levels and initiate purchases to avoid stock shortages.
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing and new suppliers.
- Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, cost, and delivery.
- Resolve issues related to delayed deliveries, quality concerns, and invoice discrepancies.
- Maintain procurement records, contracts, and vendor documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and statutory requirements.
- Prepare procurement reports, purchase trackers, and MIS reports.
