Mechanical Technician

Job Purpose

Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of mechanical equipment to ensure reliable operation and maximum uptime of aluminium extrusion plant machinery.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance of extrusion presses, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, conveyors, cooling systems, and other plant equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical faults to minimize production downtime.
- Inspect, replace, and maintain bearings, pumps, valves, gearboxes, cylinders, belts, and other mechanical components.
- Perform alignment, lubrication, and routine equipment inspections.




- Assist in installation and commissioning of new machinery.
- Maintain maintenance records and report recurring equipment issues.
- Coordinate with Production and Electrical Maintenance teams for effective maintenance planning.
- Follow safety procedures, LOTO requirements, and 5S practices.

Qualification

ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Fitter Trade.

Experience

57 years in industrial mechanical maintenance, preferably in the aluminium extrusion or manufacturing industry.
