Role Overview The NPD Engineer will be responsible for managing end-to-end New Product Development (NPD) activities for plastic toys, from concept stage to mass production. The role requires close coordination with toolroom, production, quality, and development teams to ensure timely delivery, quality compliance, cost optimization, and safety standards as per toy industry norms.

Required Qualification Skills
- B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Industrial, or related Engineering field
- 3 5 years of experience in Current Product Development, preferably in toy manufacturing, plastics, or injection molding industry
- Strong understanding of injection molding processes and plastic material behavior
- Knowledge of mold design concepts, molding defects, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
- Familiarity with toy safety standards (IS, ASTM, EN preferred)
- Effective project management and time management skills
- Good coordination, communication, and documentation skills
- Hands-on experience in sample trials and validations

Key Responsibilities




- Project Management - Plan, execute, and monitor NPD projects within defined timelines. Coordinate with toolroom, QC, production, sourcing, and development teams during sample trials and development stages. Track project progress from concept, design, prototyping, sampling to final approval and commercialization. Ensure on-time handover of approved products to production.
- Sample Development Trials - Support molding trials, prototype development, sample testing, and first-off validations. Analyze molding and product defects and work with QC production teams to implement corrective actions. Ensure adherence to approved specifications during trials. Maintain proper documentation of samples, revisions, trial reports, and approvals.
- Product Testing Quality Assurance - Ensure products meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards applicable to the toy industry. Coordinate with QC for testing, inspections, and validation
