Summary /Purpose of the role

The purpose of this role is to: -
- System engineering for mechanical scope of work.
- Shall prepare schematic and general arrangement for pumping system and Hydro Power scheme.
- Shall prepare technical specifications for various mechanical equipments (like Pump, turbine, valves, REJ, Crane, piping, OPU, LOS, Gear box Piping) Give technical support to site, purchase for offer evaluation.
- Shall prepare AC and ventilation system sizing calculation, Fire fighting system calculation, Pump Head calculation.
- Shall be able to resolve site issue related to mechanical activities.
- Shall give technical assist during proposal engineering and detail engineering work.
- Shall do feasibility, capability study and preparation of design basis report of mechanical scope of work.

Key Responsibilities
- Checking of the Pump selection, PHGA drawing, pumping system layouts,



hydro power layouts etc.
- Sizing of various equipment i.e., pump, valve, crane, auxiliary system, forebay equipment’s, OPU, MIV etc.
- Perform auxiliary cooling water system, drainage and dewatering system design.
- Perform crane sizing, AC Ventilation sizing, piping design, support plate design etc.
- Check of various Layouts of auxiliary systems, forebay side equipment’s, delivery side equipment’s.

Skills
- Knowledge of Indian & International codes and standards.
- Having hands on operation AutoCAD, MS excel and software.
- Shall have valuable verbal & written communication skills.
- Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Suite.
- Conceptual knowledge of the basic mechanical design aspects.
