SCM Leader Procurement will be responsible for leading and managing the end-to-end procurement and SCM function, including strategic sourcing, vendor development, cost optimization, Logistic management and Store management along with process excellence. The role requires building a robust supplier ecosystem while ensuring quality, cost efficiency, and timely delivery aligned with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic & Operational Procurement
- Lead overall procurement strategy and execution across Capex and O&M; categories
- Drive strategic sourcing initiatives and negotiate with key suppliers
- Develop and onboard high-quality vendors aligned with business needs
- Build a scalable vendor ecosystem ensuring quality, cost, and reliability
- Establish supplier evaluation and performance management frameworks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet business targets
- Build and lead a high-performing procurement team
2. Cost & Commercial Excellence
- Negotiate contracts to ensure optimal pricing, quality, and delivery terms
- Drive cost optimization initiatives across procurement categories
- Analyze market trends and mitigate supply and pricing risks
- Ensure effective cash flow management through commercial negotiations
3. Quality & Process Excellence
- Ensure reduction in Cost of Quality (COQ) through solid vendor management
- Implement procurement best practices, policies, and governance frameworks
- Stay updated with industry trends and continuously improve procurement processes
4. Key Accountabilities
- Optimize procurement KPIs such as TAT, DTP (Days to Pay), and COQ
- Drive strategic initiatives such as Annual Rate Contracts (ARC) and logistics outsourcing
- Manage feedstock sourcing and supply continuity
- Develop strategic vendor partnerships and supplier scorecards
- Work closely with finance, operations, projects, legal, and engineering teams
- Identify and execute cost-saving opportunities across categories
